Hi Dr Carlos,
No experience and therefore no thoughts on advertising with"Leading Edge Review". However open for advice and suggestions.
Warmest regards,
Elena Ornig

Ms. Elena,

This is what I know, so far. The Leading Edge Review reaches thousands of booksellers and their customers, major new age expos, and two international trade shows. Bonus distribution will include the Book ExpoAmerica, NYC, The London Book Fair, 2 Body, Mind, Spirit Expos, and 4 HolisticLiving Expos.

My editor is putting a 1/3 page, full color ad, and whosecost is around US$ 1,750. If 10 authors participate the cost is less thanUS$200.00. I am will evaluate the cost of a full page color advertisement. SpanNet‘Book Marketing’ group has 94 members. The cost will depend upon how manyauthors sign up. Imagine the advertisements we could present with so manymembers sharing the cost.

The next issue is for the spring issue 2011 and the reservationdeadline is January 28, 2011.

My book, “Prescriptions from Paradise: introduction tobiocompatible medicine” release date is May 2011. I would be willing to enter into two shared advertisements.

Hi Dr. Carlos,

My name is Linda Cote, I am the Sales Director here at ForeWord Reviews, and it's nice to meet you.  I am not familiar with Leading Edge Review, but looked over their website.  It is mailed to 4,000 New Age bookstores, distributed also by New Leaf's bookstore accounts and distributed at various trade shows and has 400 subscribing retailers.  It is a very niche publication, it looks like.  You will be able to reach those New Age type consumers with an ad in this publication.

I invite you to peruse our website if you are interested in reaching the librarian market.  We reach 26,000 librarians and booksellers with the six issues that we publish each year.  ForeWord Reviews' mission is to search out the very best independently published books and provide timely information that our readers won't find elsewhere.

ForeWord will also represent your titles at the international book fairs.  We act as lead generators, gathering contact information from interested foreign publishers who may be interested in publishing your books in their country and language.  The fee for this service is $175/title per show, or $600 for a shelf of 5 books.  New Age and Spiritual books do well at the London Book Fair, The Beijing International Book Fair and the Frankfurt Book Fair.

I have 1/10 co-op page AbFab ads available in every issue for  only $275 each, and no need to gather any other advertisers, I do that for you.  I can offer SPAN members a discount, so each ad would be $250.  I can send an example page to you if you would like to see what it looks like.  The editorial calendar is on our website www.forewordreviews.com, or I can email one to you.

You can call me or email me anytime with any questions, I am happy to help.  I look forward to talking with you soon.

Sincerely,

Linda Cote

Just a comment about ForeWord Reviews.  I used them to present my book at the Frankfurt Book Fair a few months ago, looking for foreign publishers or distributors to sell rights to.  I got a couple of nibbles, and one publisher asked for a review copy.  I was just testing the waters, not really expecting a lot.

But I was happy working with ForeWord Reviews.  The process of getting my book to them and entering my information into their database was very easy, and the price is reasonable.  I'll definitely look at using them again in the future.

It sounds good but my books are in digital format only and that is so far in need of different ways for advertising. However I am a member of GCWA ( around 200 writers). I will pass this info on at the next general meeting.

Thank you for the explanation.

Warmest regards,
