Neville, like most native Australians, was born with the urge to explore and has been going on “walkabouts” since he was five, at which time he and the family dog would “escape” and disappear for the day. In 1993, his wife Julie and he spent almost a year traveling through Europe, SE Asia, New Zealand and Australia. It was during this period, while hiking in the Austrian Alps, that the “seed” to walk across a large expanse of land was planted.

In 2007, Neville and Julie walked the famous Camino de Santiago in Spain. Walking through Italy along the Via Francigena is their latest adventure.
