Lynda,
I received your wonderful book, Patti Pelican and the Gulf Oil Spill, and am delighted to have it!

What a beautiful book you’ve published and its story is so meaningful, educational and timely. Beyond the importance of the book's environmental message, your marketing efforts are terrific and could be written up as an independent publishing case study that would provide an excellent “how-to” education for our SPAN members. From the production quality of your book, to the product extension, endorsements, presentational selling, web presence (http://www.saltyseasandfriends.com/)  and collateral materials (including the Sing Along CD), you are presenting a product and business that must be taken seriously – congratulations!

I know you are working very hard, encourage you to keep it up and I’m confident that you will be successful in achieving your publishing goals. Please keep us informed!

Once again, thanks for the book and your on going support of SPAN.

Executive Director

Ps. I’m also posting this to the Summer’s Here. Schools out. Now what? discussion so your platform can be found.

Lynda,

Sorry I missed your chat request this afternoon. I was "multi tasking" and didn't see my chat icon blink.

I hope you are well and will give us an update on your publishing success. Perhaps you could add a discussion to our Member Showcase Forum.

I know how hard you worked in 2010, and I know it will pay dividends in 2011. Happy New Year!

Lynda,
Thank you so much for the sharing your delightful book with us! We received it Wednesday, and have been passing it around the office and enjoying it ever since. Your characters are sweet and helpful. The story of team work is awesome, and to have it set on the “high seas” is intriguing to those of us in “landlocked” Colorado!

Your cover design and layout really enhance the story and illustration. Your collateral marketing material is fun and attractive. I can really see why all your efforts are paying off. Based on our early conversations, I know you’ve had success in promotions and have a great product extension strategy.

For all of us at SPAN, I thank you again for the book and kind words about the value you’ve found in our association. If you get time, I’d encourage you to post a brief overview of your success on a new discussion thread in our Special Sales Group, and ask Brian Jud to help you “brain storm” other possible ways to reach your market.

It may be of benefit to you, and I know it would be a great case study for our SPAN members.

Highest Regards,

Brad Poulson
SPAN Communications Director

PS.
Thank you for posting to Michelle Zabel’s thread regarding her “printer” issues. I really appreciate being able to call on real world experience!

Lynda,
It was great to speak with you after our Brian Jud webinar on radio and tv publicity. I looked at your press release and business platform and was impressed. Based on our conversation and the work you are putting into it, I’m sure your book will be a huge success. I hope you’ll keep us updated about your progress.

Best wishes,
