APSS is considering a relationship with a company that will display our members’ books at niche events (such as Black History Month luncheon, American Counseling Association, American Society on Aging, Urban Affairs Association, etc). The Virginia Library Association Conference is a test program, and they are offering a one-time opportunity to display each title for $20. There will eventually be a higher charge to display your books at niche events if we align with  them.

APSS can display up to 50 of our members books at the Virginia Library Association Conference at this price.  The listing deadline is October 11 and books are due by October 18. The show dates are October 27-28, 2016 an it will be held at the Omni Homestead Resort, Hot Springs, VA.

According to the display company, “We take pride in presenting what is traditionally the largest exhibit and most comprehensive collection of titles and publishers presented at this meeting each year. Literally any subject area is going to find its audience here.  We've served this group for years and know literally hundreds of the delegates on a first-name basis, and as such the VLA and its members look to our activities for the top professional service, products and representations in this exhibit hall.”
