I am noticing that whenever I publish my books on Amazon as a kindle they format looks a bit distorted. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? I tried changing my book to PDF format and I also uploaded as a word document. The typing looks so off that I am afraid that this is a reflection of my work. Help!

Hi Victoria. If you're allowing Amazon to "convert" your Word file or PDF to Kindle, then the results won't compare to true eBook formatting done by a professional. Basically, a computer is making decisions instead of a human being. Better eBook formatting takes more time, but the result is a book that looks almost like a printed book.
